Get Low Cost Car Insurance...For Life

Is it necessary to keep a copy of my car registration and auto insurance in my wallet?
One in the car is sufficient. Now, I will also say that if Mom isn't happy, nobody is happy, so put a copy in your wallet.....NO, in fact it is completely unnecessary. The cars registration should always be with the car in case someone else uses it. And the insurance too. It does no harm to keep another copy of your insurance in your wallet. You never know when your out of town & need to rent a car. The first thing they ask you is are you insured. Having proof makes that transaction go much easier.Just about the first thing a police officer will ask you if you get pulled over is to see your driver's license and vehicle registration. You will many times get a ticket if you can not produce them on the spot.

Proof of insurance depends on the local laws where you live. Some places require this in your possession, other locations do not.

Myself, I keep my registration paper and proof of insurance in a folder that has my owner's manual and keep this in the glove box. Keeping them with the owner's manual lets me know where they are so I can easily locate them in the glove box. I do not want to be digging around for these.

If both countries belong to the EU, looks like you're OK, temporarily at least.

If you're planning on living in Spain, you will need Spanish insurance as soon as possible, though.

insurance sales?
The answer depends on you.

Professional insurance salespeople make very very good money. Are you a professional? If your answer to that question starts with "uhhh.." We have our answer. :P Chances are from your question, you were hired to sell life insurance. Its one of the few insurance products you dont need specific licensing and education to sell in most states. As far as insurance sales go, its the bottom of the barrell. Its very difficult for the inexperienced to make a living doing this. Did the company ask you as a first step to make a list of 50 friends and family to contact? Bad sign.

Pure commissioned sales is a tough business to get started in, particularly in outside sales. My suggestion is to find a job in an in-store sales enviornment. Furniture is a good starting place, Here, you basically garanteed to get SOME income, because no matter how daft you may be, some people will just come in and buy things, they also usually offer a starting pay your first 30 days while you learn the ropes.

If I'm completely wrong in the above, and your selling full-line insurance products, life, medical, home, auto etc, and you hold the proper licensing to sell those products and advise customers on them, then please ignore me, get a good book on sales like, "How to Sell Anything" By Tom Hopkins and go make your fortune, insurance sales pros who work hard can make great livings.

How do I price attic restoration for insurance companies?
They'll pay zero because damage caused by rodents, vermin and birds is excluded under any property policy.Depending on what type of animal it is, most homeowners policies won't pay anything at all.

Getting animals out of your attic isn't the responsibility of your homeowners insurance. It's regular maintenance stuff.

life insurance for dummies question?
Hi REM

It is possible to get life insurance on your father if he consents to it.

A no health exam policy should be available. But there will still be some basic medical questions (that could increase rates or lead to a decline in coverage). And if he is over 80 there will be less companies willing to offer coverage. I can't comment on rates as there is too much I don't know about the situation.

When you have a life insurance policy on someone and that person dies, the beneficiary has to send a death certificate along with a claim form to the insurance company. In most cases a cheque will be prepared within a couple of weeks. In some cases the insurer might investigate the situation to see if there was any fraud in the application (especially if the person dies weeks after buying the policy).

Permanent insurance generally covers his whole life. One version of permanent insurance is whole life insurance.

I would recommend that you call a local insurance broker who can sit down with you and explain it to you. With his permission, yes you can buy it. You can't buy it with his permission.

A no exam policy is called a "guaranteed issue" policy. Relatively speaking, they are VERY expensive, for very little coverage. The premium is based on his age. If he's 65, you're looking at maybe $ 50 a month. The maximum payout is $ 10,000.

AND, you have to pay into it at least two years before he dies, before you can file the claim and collect.

That means, effectively, that you're betting he dies between 2 and 6 years from the day you take the policy out.

If you want more payout, or if you want term insurance, you'll need to go to a local agent and apply for it. If you want a lot of money, you WILL need a health exam.

The insurance company doesn't know that the person dies, until the claim is filed. You can only take out a policy on your father WITH his permission.

And more info is need to give you the best answer possible. You need to post your ages and what kind of health you both are in.
A lot depends on those 2 factors.

Life insurance pays the beneficiary if the person dies. Term is cheap. You get the most insurance for your dollar. My opinion is term is better unless you want to make your insurance agent or company rich. You cannot get a policy on him without his concurrence. That said, any insurance that issues coverage without a medical exam will probably be high cost, low benefit and contain an initial exclusion period of two years or so.

Go to the Personal Finance section of Yahoo Finance for an explanation of types of life insurance.

Insurance Fraud?
i dont think so, but then again I could be very wrong...

good question thoughNo. Its your insurance money, you can do whatever you want with it, unless the money is intended to pay for other people´s car beeing fixed, and in those cases, insurance takes care directly.go to AllstateInsurance Fraud would be wrecking your car or home on purpose then using the money for something else.

The Adjuster! is a practical, down-to-earth self-help guide to learning the business of insurance claim adjusting. Written in an easy, comfortable style the book takes the beginner by the hand and leads the way through the basics of investigation, evidence gathering, analysis, evaluation and ultimately settlement negotiation. For the person who has no insurance experience the book provides the nuts and bolts of claims in a straightforward, simple manner with excercises and suggestions for further study. It includes descriptions of the materials and equipment which are used by the insurance claim adjuster and explains in honest terms what it takes to go into business for oneself. The book demonstrates how to start out "on the kitchen table" in a business of your own, or teaches the basics by which a trainee can go out and get a job working for someone else in a new and exciting career.

Insurance Adjuster?
Hiya:

Things like oil, air filter, and spark plugs are not going to add a whole lot of value to your vehicle.

When I explain this to people I usually explain that a vehicle is SUPPOSED to come with those things. Just like tires. A car is supposed to have them. If you have racing wheels on a..honda civic, let's say...then that can likely DECREASE the value in particular markets. If you have a fancy paint job - the vehicle is worth less in certain markets (like an elderly community - those people are not going to pay for racing wheels and a fancy paint job).

The V8 engine would rank above a V6 but the mileage is going to be the big deal. A 94 vehicle with 40K miles is going to be worth more than a 94 vehicle (especially a truck) with 97K miles on it. Trucks are known for heavy duty work and the value depreciates a lot quicker.

Anyway...you can go to www.nada.com and plug in your vehicle stats to come up with a pretty good idea of the value in your area. (Values can REALLY vary from state to state, btw). The adjuster is going to do a market search based on your vehicle stats. That means they are going to call dealers, check out the trading mags, call local sellers with vehicles advertised for sale.......They have to establish what your truck would be worth in your market. If you are in a farming community - it might be worth more. If you are in a cosmopolitan city - it would likely be worth less.

Yeah, so.....that's about as clear as mud, right? :-) NADA should help you out. You can also ask your adjuster for the information they base their value on.

BTW - if there is more than a few thousand in damages....it's likely a total loss. That doesn't mean you lose your truck though (if you are the titled owner). You always have the option of keeping it. (The adjuster would decrease the offer to you by whatever the salvage value is though. If the offer was $ 5000 and the salvage value was $ 500 and you wanted to keep the truck? You would get $ 4500 (less deductible if 1st party) and could keep the truck. Granted - In some states you'd have to get a salvage title and wouldn't be able to drive the truck legally until it was repaired and inspected......at least, that's the way it is where I've handled claims.)

Still clear as mud? Hopefully not. Goodluck!

~jifr!Dude, unless you specifically insured "customizing equipment" when you took out the policy, you're only covered for stock parts. NOT the fancy stuff.

But typically, expensive spark plugs, air filters, and oil do NOT increase the value of the truck. The Running Boards and Bedliner might, but again, unless you INSURED them, you don't have COVERAGE for them.

Your agent should have gone over this with you.

For comparison, look at the shipping weight of their signs and our signs, many are less than 1/3 the weight. Ours are much thicker and will last for many years. Only if you are planning on mounting the sign to a pole, you should get the Aluminum, but if the sign is going to be mounted to a flat surface these are more than adequate.
